Hermary Opto Electronics is a dynamic technology company specializing in the design and manufacture of optical scanners and vision systems for industrial applications. We have been developing and marketing leading edge sensing solutions since 1990 and are dedicated to understanding and supporting those we serve. We offer a selection of high performance and extremely reliable non-contact laser scanners for use in mission critical operations including: log/cant optimization, log bucking, single and dual axis diameter scanning, trimmer and edger optimization, real time size control, veneer/plywood thickness and veneer lathe XY charging.

Our DPS optimization scanners will enable both softwood and hardwood sawmills to further maximize their uplift and recovery while increasing fiber throughput. Sharing a common co-planar technology platform, both products lead the market with fast, reliable, quarter inch density scanning. By providing revolutionary machine vision Color and Geometric imaging processing power in a single scanner, DPS provides the capability of full surface feature detection allowing you to make bucking, sawing and grade decisions much earlier in the production process than ever before. The DPS-824 model is the ultimate scanner for high speed scanning and grading of boards for better quality return while the DPS-4024 is ideally suited for log and cant scanning in production environments.

Our new SL-1880 Sheet of Light Scanner is designed for various sawmill scanning applications and is ideal for high-speed lineal scanning of logs, cants, or flitches.
